Sixth Union, the Melungeon gathering, will be held Thursday, June 8 through Saturday June 10, 2006 at the Civic Auditorium in Kingsport, Tennessee. Among the featured speakers will be David Arnett, former U. S. Consul General to Turkey and a Melungeon descendent.
Other speakers at Sixth Union include researchers and authors Evelyn Orr, DruAnna Overbay, A. D. Powell, Elizabeth Hirschmann, Kathy Lyday-Lee, Frank and Mary Sweet, and others who will be announced soon on the MHA website at www.melungeon.org <http://www.melungeon.org> .
These Unions are wonderful experiences. I hope many of you will come.
